M1 or M14 interchangeable?

Easy question, maybe. I was swapping out my newly acquired trigger housing, SA to HRA. Since I am not real familiar with the assembly, I was using some reference material. At some point I noticed that my HRA safety looked a bit different. It appears that there is part of mine missing. The top "arm". Is the M14 safety the same as the M1 safety? Thanks

safety is the same for either M1 or M14. Sometimes the tip is broken off
