Front Sight IHC/Winchester

Is there any way to tell if a front sight is IHC or Winchester? They are the same width, aren't they?

Front sights of all manufactures will vary in width, none of the widths are written in stone. Generally the WRA will have milling marks and "some" are punch marked on the side towards bottom

I have not found a Harvester Garand. Thx for your kind responce.

The rule of thumb is Winchester is 7/8" across the front sight ears and IHC is 15/16", but it is NOT chiseled in concrete.

IHC front sights widths can vary from .750 to .882 depending on serial range

Thanks for the info. I wrongly thought that the sight width/serial number ranges that they were found in was far simpler. It all looks random and like no one sight width is correct for any segent of the serial numbers.
