I have the CMP Expert Garands. The M1 30-06 and the M1 7.62X51. These are great Garands. I have had a long life with the .30-06 Spfld rifle.The 7.62 Garand was the USN issue during WWii. I have never fired the 7.62.

7.62 was NOT Navy issue in WWII. 7.62 didn't come out until WWII was l-o-n-g over. Check your facts before pontificating on some thing you obviously know nothing about.

These new Experts are a great deal. Fast turnaround time and great shooters. I got the 308 version.

I have not fired the 7.62X51/.308 garand. I understand the 7.62 is a great rifle. I am just stuck on the .30 M1 Garand. I own both Garands.
