    Rack Grade from the TMP

There are far fewer rifles on the racks than the last time I was there but, despite being picked over, I found one worth the money. Six digit SA with minimal pitting with a 1965 TE rebuild mark, rebuild stock, WRA bolt, WRA trigger housing and trigger guard, IHC hammer, early, uncut op rod (correct for the rifle's date of birth), dimpled metal on the front hand guard. Shot out 1965 barrel.

Maybe these more valuable parts will find other homes and I'll get a new barrel and make it a shooter, since I can't see spending $1000 on an Expert.

I think there were probably 8 RG's on the racks when I left, and people are buying there today as there is a match.

Sorry Mr. President, the people we defeated in WW2 were not "fine people," and America's war dead are not "suckers" and "losers."

That certainly is nice for a rack grade. The way the situation is now, I would NOT want to take a gamble on that over the mail order system. I would have to pick a rack grade out in person. Nice score!

I've seen people post mail order rack grades in the CMP forum that I was really jealous of, and I've seen them post mail order post rack grades, and have seen rack grades at the TMP, that I'm not sure the CMP should even be selling because of the pitting.

You found a nice one. The rackers posted on CMP are in the minority. There are dogs coming out should not even be sold. I saw one really bad barrel that I would not fire it was pitted so bad. That stock will clean up nice. get some kroil on that oprod. You have a gem!
