    Identifying Garand Import

New member here. I just recently acquired an m1 Garand that was converted into an M14 minus the box mag cut out in the trigger housing, etc. There are some weird markings on the receiver leg that are black. They aren’t electro pencil. I’ve never seen before (I’m used to CMP garands) and have looked extensively to see what these markings indicate. Any help?

Black marker markings on receiver legs was common on M1 Garands imported from South Korea.

I observed the black marker marking on Blue Sky, Arlington Ordnance and EXCEL imported M1 Garands. That being said I have no knowledge when, where, why or who did the marking.

                  Most likely Korean inspector markings.
