Has anybody ever used the SLED?

Not me, (at least, not yet) but I have made a few of the Ray-Vin style that appear much less tortured than the pictured one.

I've had no problem just loading single rounds the normal way at matches, or crossing two instead of using a two round clip.

Does the Bolt stay open after a round is fired?

Use it in competition all the time in the slow-fire stages. Yes, the bolt locks back after each shot.

I had one as well, used it a few times in competition. It's more handy when I'm working from the bench doing load developmeent.
