    Fulton Armory Gas Cylinder Screw Plug

    Just got this in Today Boys

    From Brownells, a Fulton Armory Screw Plug Single Slot (made in USA).

    Its not an original but that's okay with me. Its just for WW2-style aesthetics anyway.
    Original ones I've seen just cost too much plus they're all awfully dinged up.

    I will more likely use the Schuster Adjustable plug for Range time.
    10" Bayonet fits too.

    Fulton Armory Single Slot Reproduction
    X-slot Poppet (marked "PP" or "PB")
    X-Schuster Adjustable plug with Set screw ( I marked with paint on the top for my adjusted settings)

    The top portion of this Single Slot Plug is thinner (shown here on the Left ) than the X-Slot Plug (on the Right).
    Also
    There is No Bevel at the opening of the Slot.
    The larger center hole is deeper than the two smaller holes to its sides.
    Looks Parkerized (not Stainless Steel like the Originals)
    Bayonet fits (not sure if an Original could fit a Bayonet??)

    Still a nice plug that looks Cool on my SA 43.
    Too bad I don't have an Original Single Slot to compare to this Fulton Armory one.

      The bayonet with a barrel ring will work with nearly all of the various gas cylinder plugs. The M5 type with a stud that fits in the hole/slot/"X" has the problems with non-military gas cylinder plugs. It's also a usable field knife, and what I normally carry when I'm using a Garand.

        On my other plug the X-slot I can't make out the last stamp its either a PP or PF?
        I also noticed there is a small punch mark on the other side (yellow arrow pointing to it)

          Are there Any Single-Slot Reproductions Gas Cylinders Screws that are almost identical to originals out there? or Is this Fulton one as close as it gets (beside the fact that it isn't stainless steel)

              Aftermarkets I got on a parts purchase. Dupage sells USGI single slot for 75 I think.
