Just Guessing...Maybe a tool to insert a piston into an operating rod

These pieces are duplicates of the sear trip on the M-14 rifle except for the fact they happen to be of the length required for installation on the Garand receiver. One appears to have been installed on a rifle as evidenced by wear spots in the parkerize finish. I haven’t seen any references in any books on my shelves.
