    Gas Plug question

    Hey Guys,

I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of the production year(s) for these two Gas Plug markings. First, the "P" with Hexagon by Elastic Shop Nut Co and the "O" (without a P) by Henry Owens Co.

    Thanks!
    James

First of all, it is called a ‘gas cylinder lock screw’ not a plug.
All the “Ps” with a “0” or hexagon are post WWII conversion.
”0” alone is WRA 44-45 production.
BTW, I’m no expert so I could be mistaken.

Thanks, I'd be curious to hear more opinions on the "O" alone being WRA.

According that very helpful information (link) provided by Lapriester, these "P" marked poppet screws may have been used on late war rifles. At least that's how I'm reading it.
