    Raritan Arsenal rebuild question

    Hello Guys,

While reading up on post war rebuild programs, I read where Raritan Arsenal handled rebuilds from 1946 to 1948, if I understand correctly. The stocks from that program were marked "RA-P" on the side of the stock or grip. Is that correct and do we know how long after 1948 they continued to rebuild Garands? Assuming I got any of that right of course ;D

    Thanks!
    James

I thought RA-P started in 1942 from the information that is available, Many variations of the RA-P stamp but the very early has larger letters. These larger letters were found on rebuild SA SPG no trap stocks that were found in my collection. The larger letters are not common. Click image for larger version
