    Warning from CMP

Don’t know how many of you got this message from the CMP. They warn that one should not fire a cartridge greater than 50,000 copper units of pressure (cup) or a bullet weight of greater than 172 grains from our Garands, 03’s, 03a3’s. In others words, any surplus rifle that takes the .30-06 cartridge.

Thanks for the post Beltfed, I saw this as well - I attached a Facebook post that CMP shared. Apparently they are in the process of updating all of their literature.

when read properly it says this..
They said ammo that is OVER 50k CUP AND 172 gr is bad.
      However...

50k CUP is SAAMI max so ALL commercial ammo is under this.
In essence CMP just stated all commercial ammo is fine. Only the 172gr limit applied if it was OVER SAAMI spec.
