Fun time at a range in Georgia, sending some rounds from a SA 1945 and an IHC 1953, with some ammo left from my trip to CMP Talladega. I have a lot of work to improve my groups, but both shoot great! It is always good to have a little “lead therapy” .

    Don't we all.
Lead therapy is usually the best medicine when you're a little frazzled. Used to do it back in the day with a bunch from work. Our hours were odd and would really stress you out if you let it. Couple hours at the range and "Calgon...take me away!"

      Lead therapy...I like that saying!
That range looks very familiar - just like the range I shoot at in West Point.

This is the subterranean shooting bay at the club I belong to. Available 24/7/365. No matter what the weather or time is, I can get my release in. It has pre-sets at 50 ft, 25, 40, 50, and 100 yds. Works on a trolley so no time/energy expended walking down range. The best part--it's only 20 minutes from home.

My local range is available until 10pm which isn't too bad. It has targets up to 500 yards. I miss the private range that a guy we knew in town owned, 1,000 yards, it was awesome.

Yeah, it was incredible. That was about 2012, it was the first time I shot that far, it was on my buddy's M1A. He had a Premier Reticles scope that cost about $2500 on it, that created a monster and I upped my long range game after that.

$2,500...oh boy. That’s more than I would spend unless it had me speechless because of how clear it is. Which has happened and why I now have 4 or 5 Vortex scopes.

Yes Sir, I was pretty speechless, went to buy one and the were discontinued so I went on to buy a pre-2013 US Optics 17x scope which wasn't enough so I got a S & B PM II 5-25x56 which I have on my FN sniper rifle. I was able to shoot 1210 yards with it so far so to me it is worth the money. The highest level of Vortex scopes are outstanding, I understand they were starting to be used by serious target shooters and snipers but they were so new at the time, I went with what had been the standard.
