DRC is a common manufacture of windage knobs but this is the only DRC Stock Ferrule I have ever seen. Anyone else ever run across one before?

So, I just got one of these.
Can anyone here provide some information on these?
I'd like to use it in a 1943 restoration, but I'm not sure they were of WWII vintage.
