I found this hammer in a box of parts at a gun show years ago, a friend had a trigger housing with the wrong drawing number too.

just happens during war time production

I have a couple hammers with no drawing number stamped on them. They came in firing mechanisms that were obtained from DuPage Trading. I also received a WRA educational order hammer in one of those groups, so that was a nice buy.

What features did the hammer have to have been a Educational Order Winchester hammer ?

I just tried to look for a photo, but cannot find it. The hammer was marked WRA and had the tooling hole. That's all I remember off the top of my head.

Ah ha...............here's the group it went into. Of course you cannot see the WRA since it's after the drawing number, and of course the safety is wrong for an EO rifle. Hard to get all those parts in the same place at the same time!
