Sling question please

I was wondering if you could help me date this sling please. It has what appears to be a nylon strap so I'm assuming post WW2, but not sure what era this might have been used in.

The 1st contract for the nylon M1 sling was 1969 per Bill Ricca. Please note the "sling, M1" has nothing to do with the M1 rifle directly, it just happens to be the nomenclature given to it.
