You have.an INLAND M1 carbine. Made by the Inland division of GMC (as in General Motors Corp--the automobile company). Inland is the most commonly encountered M1 carbine. They made 42 % of all the carbines made. You have a nice carbine but nothing special. Out of a total of 6 million carbines made, they made about 4.5 million of them. It's a replacement stock. It's been through at least one arsenal rebuild. Shoot the snot out of it and have fun.

The "X" after the S/N means a duplicate S/N. Inland used subcontracted receivers from Saginaw so someone stamped a duplicate serial number. The stamping on the stock looks like "AN" which means the carbine was rebuilt at Anniston Arsenal. I'm not sure about the flash hider except that it is not a USGI flash hider.Looking for SA bayonets 922033 & 1045220
