    Rebarreling service?

Was just given a SA built M1 with receiver dating to March of 1944. The barrel is toast. It was already an replacement dating to 1953. I just want to make a shooter out of this old rifle. Can anyone recommend a gunsmith for the work? A new Criterion barrel would be fine. Who does good work with a reasonable turnaround time? Thanks.

Call Tim Shufflin at Shuff's Parkerizing. He does excellent work and has the fastest turn-around time in the industry.

One other option is the CMP custom shop. I had them rebarrel a Springfield and am very happy with the result.
