    Firing pin marks on primers

When cycling rounds in my M1 they eject with a small divot on the primers caused by the firing pin. Is this the way it is? The ammo is in specs (OAL 3.252"). My understanding is 3.330 OAL is correct.

This is normal, seen it with every Garand I've worked with except where the primers are recessed.
The thief may possess something he stole, but he does not own it.
The owner has a right to take his property back from the thief.

If you are reloading for the M1 Garand do not use soft primers. Also check each round that the primer is seated properly and not seating above the plane of the case head. Last thing you want is a slam fire.
