Anyone ever saw one like this before.......................

I post this every couple years hoping I can get more info. My first thought was possibly fake because of the packaging. Charles Redfield looked if over and in his opinion it was legit. I'm still on the fence, you would think another would have turned up over time. Has anyone ever saw one like it before?

I trust Charles. If he says its legit I would count on it. The packaging looks period correct. Have you researched the contract number? Bill Ricca was always the expert on contract numbers. As far another not showing up possibly it was a small contract or they got used up in rebuilds here or overseas.

My opinion is this is legit. I checked the ordance contract and it was legit.

I stated Winchester might not have been the maker. The contract was run by Olin Industries, the owner of Winchester. The contract might have been sub contracted to another company and Winchester might have had the responsibility for inspection. "
