age of m1 garand

Recently purchased M1 Garand from estate sale. Trying to figure out the era it came from. serial number starts with 700----. Can anyone help?

Chart I have shows the last Mil production in the 6 mil #s HRA 1956.
Not sure what the 7 mil # indicates, commercial production maybe ?

Springfield Armory Inc. (SAI) commercial M1 Garands are all in the 7 million serial range. Its not a US GI M1 Garand. Call SAI and they can tell you production date. I believe there was two different production runs. First run was in the 1980s.
