    CMP Forum ?

The same day I joined this forum I hit the "Join the CMP" button above. I can log in but can't post or see pics and still get this "Your account has been activated but you are currently in the moderation queue to be added to the forum."

I want to thank everyone again. I received all the info I asked for about my Garand and more right here.

Don't waste your time on the cmp forums. They're ways looking for fight there. Much more civil and informative here.

I got an email address for the CMP Forum administration. Forget where I found it. Sent an email explaining my inability to post. It was fixed the next day.

I got. banned from the cmp forums 3 years ago. Best thing that ever happened to me. Too many whiners and thin-skinned nimrods.

The truth be known, it's pretty difficult to get banned from the CMP Forums. Your violations of the rules have to be numerous and pretty severe. Some of the worse people there took months to get banned after numerous complaints by members. You get a warning, often several times, and it's your choice to heed or ignore them. Then it's bye-bye baby. Are there combative folks and whiners there? LOL, find me a Forum that doesn't have them. What you will find there are people who are highly qualified and exceptionally knowledgeable about vintage rifles and the largest ownership pool of Vintage firearm that exists. Some of the experts there have no peers anywhere.

If you have conflics you can just choose to ignor people with just a click on your mouse. I currently have over 20 buttheads ignored and I still laugh every time I see the message that one of them has posted and I can't see their posting. Well, I don't want to see it so......perfect.

Everthing I know about Garands was learned there since 2006. Stuff I would never have known without buying a dozen related books. Now I have instructional, and info PDF's posted there that have almost 200,000 views total including instructions on how to rebarrel an M1 and 1903A3.

Many of the people from there also post here snd on another Garand Forum.

So, getting back to the OP, how does one get their membership approved? I've been waiting, and wanting to jump in on the Hackberry stock discussion...

                Larry,
Just for your information, there was no warning. It just happened that quickly. Apparently I upset one of the mods buddies and he didn't like it so he had his mod buddy rub me out. C'est le guerre. I spent waaaay too much time there any way. Maybe you should have bought the books. That way you would have known the story behind the lead dipped heels.

www.milsurps.com covers "all" small arms and related ammo and Bob Seijas is a regular on this forum too. just depends on your interest.

TJT, you should post something on the anneal performed during WW2, Winchester is always of particular interest as about 95% of 1941 production receivers found today indicate anneal. Some state the factory anneal started in the 1,2 million Winchester number range ?

Thanx for this, I've registered there as well since milsurps are my primary firearms interest anyway! I'll see what I can learn...
