New Cmp M1

I am sending a few pics of M1 that I purchased September of last year. Looks to have been made in 1955. It has a new stock that is dated Apr 07, 2018. Why the future date? All metal parts were in excellent condition. I'm very satisfied with the purchase and am looking forward to some range time soon.

Stock date is inside barrel channel.
