M1 Owner's Meetup Group in Greater Hampton Roads Area

I'm trying to get a Meetup Group together for M1 Garand owners in the Hampton Roads area (Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Hampton, Newport News, Chesapeake, etc.).
I started the group https://www.meetup.com/Hampton-Roads-M1-Garand-Owners/ and we have 4 members so far.

Our first Meetup is Wednesday, October 11th, 7-9pm at the Young Veterans Brewing Company in Virginia Beach.
The sole purpose of the group is to spend time with fellow enthusiasts of America's iconic .30 cal rifle.
To share knowledge, resources, and a good time!

That's a great idea!
I wish I were a bit closer to you guys down there. I have a friend in the Richmond area that I haven't seen in a few years. Sure would be nice to stop by and say hello to him. He's taught me a lot about the M1 and M14.
