    NOS 7.62 Barrel

Picked up this NOS 7.62 barrel the other day ,at the urging from Phil. I have been holding these parts back just for a special build. NM Front/Rear sights unissued NM Op Rod ,unissued NM gas cylinder, ought to be a good combination for the barrel. Will be a good winter project

I'm sure it will be a great shooter. You will have to post pics next spring when it's finished.

Oh sure, I twisted your arm real hard.......Mine is close too the same combo from the sounds of things just a few settle differences, I went all post-war SA because of the barrel date being 3/66. My G/C is fitted but not NM marked and my op-rod is a SA77 non-NM marked the rest of the parts combo are correct for 5.4mil ser. number range all sitting in a snug Overton replacement stock, I'm unwilling too flip the coin on a correct pre-war walnut SA DAS stock that matches. I am still waiting for this stock to loosen up before I commit to bedding and the rest of the NM stock work.

It hammers as it sits right now. Short line (inside 300yds) pet load is 135SMK LC case 42.0 IMR-XBR8208, any large primer, COAL 2.77ish. The 155 Berger hybrids @ 43.5 IMR/H-4895 in LC case with any primer 2.82 COAL shoot inside my std. go to 168 accuracy loads do at 600yds, all without the recoil.
