Gas Trap Project and the delightful madness.

Week one into the project I've acquired a 32K receiver and a Ratworx Type II kit and am sucking wind like I've just been super punched in the chest.. During quiet moments I even question my sanity and ask what the hell am I doing? THEN, while scrounging through my stash as I have done many times before, my eyes light up with joyful tears as I gaze upon an early Hammer Spring Housing clearly placed there by some magical means.. I cry out loud, I LOVE THIS RIFLE..

Thanks guys. As Brian mentioned, it is certainly a wild ride but i'm enjoying it and learning a great deal as I go along. Right now I am looking to flesh out the receiver, bolt - clip latch - rear sights then the rest of the internals. Should be enough to keep me busy for awhile.. Of course if anyone has any insights or sources and is willing to share, I'd be exceedingly grateful..

              Jack-

What rear sight parts do you need...I might be able to help you.

                Brad,

That would be fabulous! I am basically starting from scratch. Though, I have an early set of Elevation/windage knobs but think they may still be too late for 32K. I'll include a pic.

I'm cleaning out and I'm sure that I've got a bunch of stuff that would work. PM me with your needs.

I absolutely love this site and all the info about the early rifles! Lots of great people and a treasure trove of knowledge. I'm doing my second trap restore/reproduction as we speak. Draining- but I love every minute of it.
