Early conversion from gas trap to gas port, receiver has the correction and the SA SPG stock was modified to
use the trap door butt plate. Some early stock conversions are without any rebuild stamps on the second P
proof stamp. Some restoration was required

That's a real nice stock mod on that one!!
What parts in total were changed in this direct conversion? Just the barrel and gas system, or were there others??

Actually it is not a good fit as there is a large gap at the toe (photos) Pyle has stated that sometimes only the front end was changed,
and not all the receivers received the low guide rib correction. A lot would depend on where and when the conversion was performed.
Some stocks had the holes modified to two equal size (diameter) while others did not.

Was it common to have the op rod switched out during a direct conversion from gas trap to gas port?
For example, if you have an early receiver where a weld seem op rod would be correct, but you have a 10-40 barrel on the receiver, is it then likely that a -1-SA op rod would have been used instead of the weld seem rod?

That's a great conversion, thanks for sharing. Just thinking out loud... but if the conversion was done at SA based upon what I've read there could be minimal changes, however, in the conversion above with a 10-41 barrel, I guess a new bolt and other new parts could be used. I would suspect if the conversion was done at, let's say Augusta, they would use whatever serviceable parts they had on hand and would not specifically just use parts with the latest change/drawing number. It would be great if the pros from dover could add a few authoritive comments.
