Thoughts on this Short Pinion?

Hi guys, anyone got any ideas about this Pinion?Groove looks odd. Doesn't look like model shop.

From what I can see in your pictures, looks good. It's definitely not modelshop. Are there any numbers on the side of the drum where the scratch or groove is cut ?

Unsure mate, bought it today in UK with what looks like a front Sight seal!

Will post pics and info when it arrives.
