Educational or Early WRA Rear Parts?

Does anyone have a pic or note of how to tell an early WRA Rear Sight Base and cover? - Marked CM or punch mark only?

Also looking for info on correct Operating Rod Catch and Clip Latch - CM Marked?

Follower rod? I have an early one marked Cheryl, should I be looking for Ummarked?

    Thank you.

    Scott

Photos of the early rear sight base are difficult to find - some collectors believe the Springfield base - without the drawing number was used at the start ?

The CM and A marked parts were not used in the E.O. production. The rear sight cover was flat without the small symbol that Springfield used

There was a long list of rifle serial numbers published many years ago by Tony Giacobbe showing the letter, number and symbol as found on early WW2 SA rifles.

most were from Lend Lease rifles it was published in the early GCA Newsletter

Some collectors have suggested that Winchester used the early sight base without the drawing number (third from left in photo) same as Springfield used for a short period. I really have no idea, too bad serial number 100,180 that surfaced at Tulsa a few years ago Click image for larger version
