Old Fort Benning Instruction Manual 1940

Originally printed at the Infantry School at Fort Benning in Jan of 1940, somewhere along the line this instruction manual was upgraded with the gas port system. The only upgraded pictures are of a disassembled gas port rifle which leads me to believe it was done in the June/Jul 1940 time frame. However, all the other detailed pictures still show early gas trap parts, notice anything odd on the trigger group? Sorry, not sure why it went sideways on me.
