Guess what my coworker just inherited? Early original SA

Springfield Armory #71X. All matching serial numbers, really nice condition. Can you please give me some tips on how my coworker can research what he has? My search showed around 1937-38. Original not an import or parts gun.

The is no such thing as all matching serial numbers as there is only one serial number and that is on the receiver heel. There are a couple guys here that are experts on the early rifles. If you post some good clear detailed pictures of his rifle they can help you. If you cant post pictures on this site PM me and I can post them for you
