While collecting M1s over the past 6 years I developed a goal to create and restore a Gas Trap M1 Rifle. I am just waiting on picking up the M1 after all the restrictions are lifted. While collecting and trading parts and rifles I have acumulated a lot of early parts which are too late for a gas trap serial but too early for a WW2 M1.
I figured the best idea was to work to a post 51K - 100K serial. The parts are as follows:
1. Short Pinion
2. Checkered Elevation Knob
3. Screw
4a). B8875 Rear Sight Cover
b) No Dents Rear Sight Cover
5. - 1 SA Trigger Housing
6. Trigger Housing Spring
7. 1 SA Trigger Guard
8. Trigger with Hole
9. Trigger Pin
10. 1 SA Hammer
11. Hammer Spring
12. Hammer Spring Housing
13. Hammer Pin
14. Plunger in White
15. Safety
16. 0 Operating Rod Catch
17. 1SA Bullet Guide
18. 1 SA Operating Rod
19. Grooved Lower Band
20. Milled Stock Ferrule
21. Numbered Narrow Base Gas Cylinder
22. Front Site with Seal
Looking forward to the next hunt for an M1 to fit the bill!😃😎
