    Educational Order WRAs

Can someone please educate me on the educational order Winchester rifles?
I know a little bit that I've picked up from here and there, but I'd like to know what unique characteristics they have that separates them from the production rifles.
    Thanks!!!

It is kind of a long story, best to read it in Canfield's new book on the M1 Rifle. Back before anyone was talking about another manufacturer of the new gas
trap M1 rifle, Springfield sent gas trap rifle serial number 1607 to Winchester in September 1938 along with some accessories and drawings. Much later,
Springfield also sent another gas trap to Winchester serial number 15070 which I believe is still at Cody ?

Remington did not receive any examples of the new M1 Rifle and do not think there was any manufacturers considered or had the capability to produce the
    new M1 rifle.

Photos show paper work such as the handreceipt from Springfield to Winchester which was signed by Robert Sears (WRA RS) and Edwin Pugsley. Thanks to
the late Frank Mallory (SRS) for this information

      Robert,
Outstanding info. Thanks for taking the time to write that out and take the attached photos.
I do have Canfield's book, and will have a look at it.
      Thank again,
