ID:	22911 Hi guys what do you think of this piece?

    1. November 1941 and looks what appears to be a barrel with date stamped upside down dating to November 1941 so could this be the original barrel?

    2. Flush Nut Sights? Could be original.

    3. Grooved Rear Handguard Clip not present 🤔

    4. Stock? Looks like a post war gap from heel of receiver to end of wood? (Actually if you look at pic of Elevation Cap you'll notice that actually the gap is small and so this could be a wartime stock).

This is really throwing me off and until I get it in my hand after I buy it I will not be able to comment further.

    Thank you!

    Scott

I have a data sheet on s/n 391564, it has British BNP proofs by the unsidedown S_A 11-41 barrel date. Stock is SA GHS cartouched

Thank you mate! What does the data sheet say about the knobs mate? Is the windage knob chequered or Knurled?

      Thank you!

also where could I get access to data sheets other than those composed in Duff's red book. Are they done by individual collectors?

Also an update; I decided to go ahead and purchase. It should be with me Friday but here's what I have worked out is far.

In my collection I already have:

      1. SA 5 Trigger Housing
      2. SA 2 Hammer
      3. SA Trigger
      4. SA Winged Hammer Plunger
      5. SA Trigger Guard (Need to find an SA 3 one)

      6. SA Short Fork follower Rod
      7. SA 8 Follower
      8. SA Follower Arm (Although I do have one with single bevel but am unsure of the timline of use for these.
      9. SA Narrow base cylinder with Seal
      10. Bullet Guide with raised S Markings (Think this maybe later than needed)

      11. SA GHS long channel stock taken from original lend lease rifle which had then sadly been sporterised. I have since had a friend restore it and it is looking good!
      12. Wartime SA Buttplate

*The M1 in Question (from pics) has:
Flush nut sights - Knurled Elevation Knob
      Wartime barrel
Stock which looks to be all matching in colour.

      So will need to find:

      SA 3 Op Rod
      Arched Lower Band
      grooved Rear Handguard Clip
      Possibly rounded clip latch
      SA 6 Safety

      Thank you!

This Lend lease came directly from Milt Klein, it has the letter J which would indicate 1958 as the import year Click image for larger version

Where in the line of the British proof marks is the letter J. I just don't see it. Thanks.
