    Very early Winchester safety question

Back in 2011 when I bought Winchester 100931 from the CMP auction (receiver only), an advanced M1 collector from NJ (not Giacobbe) sent me this safety and told me it was from the Educational Order period. Note just the drawing number without the W.R.A.stamp. Recently, two more advanced M1 collectors have told me they have found un-marked safeties in early Winchester trigger housings. My copy of the first data sheet on Winchester 100,001, shows a safety marked C460015-4 flat edge. There would appear to be a number of variations. Anyone have any additional information ?

That is an EO Winchester Safety and I am not aware any other variation has surfaced.
