The photo shows a receiver with the extra wide guide rib on the left side. I believe these are somewhat rare and I have been tracking them for years now. I have a list of 13 serial numbers of receivers with the extra wide guide rib, on this list nine have been modified during rebuild and only four are still original configuration. Unable to find any information as to why they were made this way but would suspect something to do with problems during this time period.. All receivers are revision 1 and heat lot codes REP 5 through REP 8. Serial numbers start at 36733 and last one is 42681.

If anyone has a receiver with the extra wide guide rib and could post information/photos it would be appreciated Click image for larger version Name:	dscn0722_0017.jpg Views:	0 Size:	236.1 KB ID:	21059Click image for larger version Name:	dscn0724_0016.jpg Views:	0 Size:	123.7 KB ID:	21060

Not much for condition but still very difficult now to find early original receivers with low guide ribs and the extra wide rib is a bonus

My old friend had 37956 still original and in excellent condition but believe it was sold.
