That -1 op rod and flush nut set are looking good!

It is definitely a challenge. I had a 31k gas trap I resorted years ago. Just needed the barrel. The type 2 cylinders have come up more often than the type 1. Still no barrels yet. I will wait and be patient. I have everything except the barrel, cylinder and op-rod.
I may take a few years but I finished a Jap type89 lmg in 11 years and a ac spark plug mg in 9. Working on a G41(m) going on 8 years and this gas trap going on 7 months.

I am of the opinion that modified low number receivers are not worth the time or money to attempt restoration with key parts that are no longer available. Best way to deal with a modified receiver is the rat works kit and Du Page solid butt stock. Always the best choice for a gas trap restoration is the late receivers and there have been a few for sale not long ago on the CMP board. These late receivers still have the low guide ribs plus there have been some on the cmp auctions. Also you have a better chance of finding parts and you don't need the numbered hand guards or rear sight pinon or butt plate etc. Photo shows two 40K rifles that were restored years ago, both have the low guide ribs. Some have attempted to grind down the modified guide ribs to original profile but it never
looks right plus you have the discoloration from the welding during rebuild and have to make the receiver jet black

If you are referring to the 7th round modification, then no. It has been modified.

Too bad the cylinder and barrel are much later than my receiver. I could have used both of them. 10103

Just another heat lot batch following a serial number range. Much like how the bolts did

In the barrel's drawing number, what's the significance of the changing 15 to 16 and of the different letters?
