Yep. I had a nice 12k receiver that was unmodified ( low guude ribs ) with a rebuild marking on the leg. After WWII an order was issued to scrap early receivers instead of repairing them ( welding the ribs for the 7th round mod fix ) . It was no longer necessary to repair the 40 or so thousand receivers since there were over 3 million produced . Not all of the rifles produced were repaired, cleaned, and inspected after the end of WWII . So some were still in the system .Realistically it wasn't a large priority to search out and scrap the early receivers, only if found while reworking/rebuilding rifles . By the 1950's and 1960's , I would guess no one was even concerned nor worried about any early receiver with low guide ribs but would be more concerned with function of it. The newer internal components had better tolerances that corrected the 7th round jam anyways.
