SA 40023 is up for Auction

    Any comments on this rifle?

I also found a picture of this same rifle being used as a scam on gunsamerica. The gunbroker sell looks legit. I think Paul said the front end looked authentic. I would like to handle it for a closer look. The left side of the front end has some damage or a scrape of some kind? It sure seems like all this gas trap stuff pops up for sell in spurts. Great timing with the GCA story

This is also being talked about on CMP forums.

This rifle also has the extra wide rib-unfortunately been modified.

Didn't someone recently sell an unmodified wide-rib receiver?
I'd love to find me one of those!

Looks like it's up to $2625.00 with three days to go.

Any thoughts on that gas cylinder and front sight?

God bless 'em. Wow ... just wow! With college tuition in my near future, I can only shake my head at results like this. I'll stick with service grade for now thank you very much!

I have no idea who the winner is, but I hope they post photos (somewhere on the net) of the parts that weren't depicted in the auction listing. I'd also like to find out for sure whether or not the cylinder and front sight is authentic.
