Just received the latest GCA Journal. Very cool article about 35093 that was found earlier this year at CMP with some new insight on time periods that different parts were used. I could only dream of having a rifle like this.

Great article on the gas trap. I always find myself asking more questions after I read many of the articles in the GCA journal. I always want more information than they put in it. I always want more pictures. What is going to happen to this great artifact? Auction or museum? Pretty darn amazing for sure. It gives me hope with all the rifles that may be coming back, perhaps the volunteer program might be reactivated. I have done many cool things in my life, but a week at Anniston working rifles would be spectacular!

If this rifle went to auction, on the CMP site, what do you think it would bring? I can only imagine the selling price......think about it, a CMP-documented gas trap??? Six figures, maybe???

Brian, my guess, if this went to auction on CMP website is an easy 85,000.00. More than likely six figures, as you mentioned.

Serial was pretty close to mine. The included data sheet was GOLD!
