    early butt plate

    Here is a photo received from Robert Seijas showing his early butt plate on serial number 1630 rifle

    note the wide border

    Robert, 1630 is actually an Army owned rifle. Here is a picture of 1630 bottom and RS's rifle on top. His SN is a few away. Regards,

        Curt, Checked my original email from Bob Seijas, photo is from 1630 not his rifle

      more solid butt plates (all original too) from this Dec 2008 photo. Six of the rifles in the photo are Winchester, rest are Springfield. It is very difficult to find original butt plates and stocks that are original to the early butt plates.

      A 6 foot ladder full of no trap rifles! That is something to be seen for sure. What else mind boggling you have just laying around?
