ID:	31345 I've found the Italian manufactured and contracted rifles to be of very good quality. The recent importation of the Breda 7.62 M1D's is a welcome addition to my collection.
    Regards,

Awesome rifles, I like the imports. Even though the Santa Fe is not a foreign made Garand it is cool!

The Santa Fe receivers were originally contracted and made by Beretta for US consumption (e.g Golden State). They were imported in the late 50's and early 60s. Some collectors assert that a few were assembled in Italy but its likely that most were assembled in the US, utilizing US parts, and sold commercially.

Cool thanks, I didn't know that. I thought they were made in Southern California like the FedOrd M14 receivers.
