Looks like we should batten down the hatches........forecast is saying that here in NJ we could see 8-12 inches by Sunday AM. Yikes!!!

Sucks for you guys. We had a nice storm system here that lasted about a week but it was mostly rain. Chains on the truck? Or do you guys get days off when it's this bad?

The worst part is all the idiot drivers that forget how to drive in the snow. They must enjoy playing bumper cars on the highways.
A good set of snow tires is all I use. Also I still drive standard transmission vehicles. I find them a lot easier to control in the snow than
      an automatic transmission.

I don't get it, hasn't it ever snowed back east before??

It seems to me that several feet of snow in those areas is pretty common, why is it such a terrible thing now?

We've had snow for several months and nobody is screaming about needing to declare a State of Emergency around here.

Well.....apparently an inch of snow brought DC to a standstill last night. Wait until they get two feet Saturday.

We have gotten quite a lot of snow here in NJ in the past, but people just enjoy freaking out. We'll be fine, I'm sure!

You want too talk snow, I grew up in New England. My wife driving for the first time in good snow up here in the PNW was a thrill ride I wouldn't want too relive again, she's a Desert Rat and has no clue you have too drive for the road conditions. All I could do was scream OFF THE GAS then it was OFF THE BRAKES, YOUR FOLLOWING TOO CLOSE then all I could mutter was a quick prayer too the Lord PLEASE MAKE HER STOP I can't take it. My wife is a freaken nut job behind the wheel! I must have aged 20 years and almost lost bladder control and that's saying something.....

My daughter moved to Nashville a couple years ago. I called her to see how they were doing with the snow they got. Her husband is stuck sideways in the driveway and they dont even own a snow shovel
