Guatemalan honor guard for VP Harris

I noticed the Guatemalan honor guards assigned to VP Harris's review were armed with M1 Garands. Wonder how many M1 Garands are still in Guatemala?

Garands get lots of use for honor guards around the world, and they are often preferred for fancy drill.

The thief may possess something he stole, but he does not own it.
The owner has a right to take his property back from the thief.
