Funny! With the M14/M1 Garand you can feel the difference in the recoil pulse when it's out of ammo, with the op rod not moving forward. I don't have much experience at all with the AR, don't know if you can. That Private was green for sure. If I was preparing for when the SHTF with an AR, I'd make sure I had 2 tracers as the last rounds...lol.

I figured it was his first time also. The first time I shot my friends AR I was keeping a count in my head and noticed as I fired the last round that it sounded different and asked him why.
I feel for him though...it was my first time at a range and it's located on a military base and the guys working it were really laying into some people for not following rules not to mention how loud it was. I'll never forget picking up the .357 for the first time and squeezing that trigger, it scared the shibby out of me and I busted out laughing!!Comment
