French M2 Ball

I've heard that the French M2 ball ammo is absolute garbage. Is that true? Anyone here have any direct experience with it??

I had an O.O.W model 1918A3 B.A.R. the warranty precluded the use of French made .30-'06 ammo.

Have you ever fired off any French M2 Ball?
I ask because I've heard it's very dirty ammo, and was wondering if you know that to be true.

Got hold of some of the French stuff while I was in seminary (1979-1982). Heavy recoil, hard extraction. Fired in a Rem. 03-A3. Have not used any since then. To much other better quality M-2 available.
