WW 2 clip with saw cut notches?

Going through my clip collection and I found a clip stamped C with saw cut notches like the early clips. Lerio Patent Cup Co. Mobile, AL is the suspected maker but the cut notches is throwing me. You guys have any thoughts. I am unable to post photos because they are too large in size.

the early clips had the notches cut-out and early web pattern on the back, your C with cut out notches is early

Thanks. I understand exact values are not able to be given without seeing a particular item but is there a ballpark value for a clip like this?

The retaining notches on early clips were not 'saw cut' they were milled. Other than being so listed on current "who made em" lists there is no evidence that Lerio Patent Cup Corp. of Mobile AL ever made M1 clips. Early clips were oil blackened by the heat treating process. Un-refinished early clips are very hard to find, as many were re-used and Parkerized.
